Meet Alexandra

Alexandra Forsyth is an authoritative threat-intelligence leader who translates the fast-moving cyber landscape into clear, board-level strategy. With experience spanning retail, fashion and technology, she now guides global teams to anticipate risks before they strike, ensuring that security becomes a measurable business advantage.

A polymath at the crossroads of commerce and code, Alexandra founded AF’s Retail Guide, an online hub that decodes digital fraud trends for consumer-facing brands. She also hosts the “Take a Chance on You” podcast, spotlighting rising innovators and showcasing her gift for turning complex ideas into memorable stories that galvanise action.

Her TEDx talk, “Why We Need Community Now More Than Ever,” underscored her conviction that culture—not code—ultimately keeps organisations safe. Recognised by Authority Magazine as one of the Women Reshaping the Cybersecurity Industry, she channels that ethos through her role as Community Ambassador for Female Founders Rise, empowering diverse talent to lead the next wave of innovation.

In 2025, Alexandra was shortlisted for the Most Inspiring Women in Cyber Awards, acknowledging her impact on the industry. She also delivered keynotes at the RSA Conference and Scot-Secure Summit, where she explored the evolving threat landscape and the role of threat intelligence in safeguarding organisations.

Alexandra's mission: “Inspiring The Next Generation Of Leaders To Join Me In Tackling Today’s Challenges For A Better Tomorrow”

Alexandra is a natural born strategist, having studied Criminology during her bachelors and masters degrees, understanding theory, frameworks, solution-based findings, and the criminal justice system. Throughout her career to date, Alexandra has concentrated her efforts heavily on the expansive field of cyber security. She firmly believes that cultivating the right culture toward work is of the utmost importance, having dedicated her professional life to mastering this complex domain, and has become deeply conversant with the intricate details involved in safeguarding sensitive digital information.

Community means throwing yourself into the deep end, building something fantastic and connecting with others in the process. It is about the journey, not the destination. Who are you willing to become, to create and maintain strong friendships, and partnerships.

Alexandra currently works with corporate and non-profit leaders, IT professionals and various teams to understand business fatigue within the cyber security industry, helping develop better communication, productivity, confidence and resilience through awareness training, and career ROADMAP.

In her spare time which is few and far between, Alexandra dives into the organisations she is an ambassador for, including Female Founders Rise, WomenTech Network, Reed Women Community, and several networking engagements in London. Opportunities like this are available to anyone globally, all you need to do is create a profile and offer mentorship, or receive mentorship from others in the field. Alexandra believes in learning from those around you, going to networking events and identifying different roles can help propel you forward.

Throughout her journey, Alexandra has learned she excels in public speaking, and thrives when put in front of clients, challenging her to come to the table prepared and ready for any type of conversation thrown her way, whether cyber or business related. Being present in the moment, during tough times, cyber attacks, working with multiple teams, collaboration, offering advice all led Alexandra down the strategy road, wanting to find solutions and share these on stages during keynote conferences, summits, workshops and roundtable discussions, building upon Alexandra's own sense of self, becoming she is today, a leader, innovator, storyteller and advocate for early careers.
